We LOVED IT!More. (Basically a jumpy seat for adults.) Kalahari is a better choice for families with adolescents and teens, while Great Wolf Lodge is perfect for elementary-age children. We recently took a little trip to the Poconos and stayed one night @ Great Wolf Lodge immediately followed by a one-night stay @ Kalahari. This is another thing that I think Kalahari does well and it makes it a little easier to satisfy everyone and their differing tastes with so many food choices. Fortunately we only live about 2 hours away. For our Wednesday June 26th, 2019 stay @ Kalahari the cost of our room was $249.99 with taxes & fees amounting to $66.09, bringing the total to $316.08. There were not lights on both sides of the queen beds which made night-time reading hard for the person on the side with no light. There is a huge fireplace towards the back of the lobby that is adjacent to a huge window that overlooks the water park. Overall, my family prefers Kalahari Resort. Aquatopia made an effort to do some theme-ing with the Kartrite Quest /Adventures but this really only covers the water park and the activities for kids to the left of the lobby. This is probably a reflection of the fact that Kalahari is really a convention center first & foremost and the water park is just one of the many amenities they offer albeit a big one! Aquatopia offers a great selection of activities for tweens & younger teens, both inside & outside! Kalahari is amaizing! The smell permeated EVERYTHING to the point of needing to open the door to air it out. Since our last visit to Great Wolf Lodge they have established a relationship with Dunkin Donuts and there is one located on the main floor just off the right of the lobby. We stayed @ Great Wolf Lodge on a Tuesday night and then Kalahari on Wednesday night of the same week. It is the smallest of the 3 indoor water parks in the Poconos, Pennsylvania. They were definitely present - but not blowing their whistle when it was needed and didn't seem as focused. Kalahari was the cheapest on Friday evening - but the most expensive during the week & the second most expensive on Saturday evening.
