Similar to that push of fish we saw something like a couple weeks ago it sounds like another good push of salmon moving toward the dam with some browns in tow were evidenced later Sunday and Monday. Flows in the Oak are staying high with some stubborn overflow water that should be receding by about today leaving just the full cranking turbine flows. Beads in natural colors really shine on early season trout with all the salmon eggs around. Flows in the Oak are slightly high with water color about 1 2 ft of slightly stained viz. Those fish are there somewhere and its likely not in the same old downstream water but probably upstream nearer where Kings are concentrated. This mid week warmup should likely only stall the right of drop and clear in the Oak and other area smaller waterways. The large catfish are biting in Clyde and Palmyra. If an angler arrives at a parking lot and there are several cars, they should consider going to another parking lot. Flows likely to remain up and stained at least thru the weekend. Chance of icing in select areas. Today the salmon did not disappoint us! Suckers were more numerous too. We are catching fish in 50-110 water in front of the major rivers and off 9-mile point. Ground flow recharge from strong supplies might keep things up a little higher then typical winter levels but never-the-less things will be icing in or freezing up except for a few fast water slots. The canal season for navigation ended October 13th and some sections are being lowered. At least flows are stronger which helps combat icing back up. Downstream frog water areas are all open with no icing conditions yet. Aiden also won the Youth Division with that salmon.
